JAIPUR — The state's Chief Minister addressed reporters ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, graciously absolving the national party's central leadership of being the target of a massive 90-MLA legislative boycott in September 2022.

"We hold the high command in the highest regard, which is why we completely ignored their officially convened meeting to ensure my former deputy did not succeed me," said the Chief Minister, who previously survived a 2020 rebellion involving 18 rival lawmakers camped at a Haryana resort. "It is vital to distinguish between a disrespectful mutiny against national authority, and a highly disciplined, 90-person localized coup."

The clarification of loyalty arrives just before the national party's cross-country unity march enters the state. According to organizational records, the 2022 boycott successfully forced the Chief Minister to withdraw from the national president's race, while simultaneously ensuring he faced zero disciplinary action and retained total control of the state government.

"The central leadership's authority remains absolute in all matters," a state party spokesperson confirmed, speaking from an office where no notices of indiscipline have been filed since the boycott. "Provided those matters do not involve choosing the state leadership, organizing official meetings, or expecting our legislators to attend them."
